Sometimes we make mistakes that make other people angry, hurt them, or cause them serious inconvenience.
DO:

Acknowledge the harm you did.

Name how you will avoid doing the same thing in the future.

Clearly express, using words, tone of voice, and facial expression, that you are sorry for what you did.

Blame the other person for what happened.
