Apologizing

 

Sometimes we make mistakes that make other people angry, hurt them, or cause them serious inconvenience.

 

DO:

 

  • Acknowledge the harm you did.

  • Name how you will avoid doing the same thing in the future.

  • Clearly express, using words, tone of voice, and facial expression, that you are sorry for what you did.

 

DON’T

 

  • Blame the other person for what happened.

  • Make excuses.
